About the Foundation

Sonoma West Medical Foundation is dedicated to improving the health status of all residents in Western Sonoma County. We support the community primarily through fundraising efforts, facilitating greater access to medical care, innovative health research and promoting community engagement.

The Sonoma West Medical Foundation

Sonoma West Medical Foundation was created in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. Through the generous support of our many donors, we have been able to purchase hospital equipment, fund new programs, and support many of our local health initiatives.

We are currently managed by a volunteer board of 10 community members and one staff member. Board meetings are held once a month on the second Tuesday of the month and, except for closed sessions, are open to the public.

Our Vision for the Future

We are committed to energizing the community to support Sonoma Specialty Hospital as a center of wellness and disease prevention as well as providing LTACH, ICU, Surgical and Medical care for all West Sonoma County Residents.
